Family and Community Behaviour Services

 
​Halton Region's Family and Community Behaviour Services works with families to address concerns related to children's challenging behaviours.

Halton Region's Family and Community Behaviour Services works collaboratively with families, children and youth to:

  • Address concerns that might contribute to challenging behaviours
  • Assist with skill development in areas such as:
    • Communication
    • Play
    • Self-help
    • Social skills
  • Collaborate with other community resources that might benefit your family
  • Assist with referrals to other agencies as needed

Available services

Family and Community Behaviour Services are provided in:

  • Child care programs
  • Schools
  • Family homes
  • Other community settings

Eligibility

You are eligible to participate in a program if you:

  • Live in Halton Region
  • Have a child 2 - 21 years of age who has been diagnosed with a developmental disability (not including Autism Spectrum Disorder or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)
