Halton Region publishes reports of food safety offences under the Health Protection and Promotion Act and the Regional By-Law Respecting Mandatory Food Handler Certification.

Offences under the Health Protection and Promotion Act

The following is a listing of food premises that were convicted of an offence under Regulation 562, Food Premises Regulation, of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 under the Health Protection and Promotion Act during the previous six months.

  • Name of Establishment: Alam Cuisine
  • Address of Establishment: 4-875 Main St E, Milton
  • Offence Description: Operator fail to ensure floor of food-handling room kept clean
  • Date of Conviction: May 15, 2018
  • Name of Establishment: PHO 26 Vietnamese Restaurant
  • Address of Establishment: 2011 Plains Rd E, Burlington
  • Offence Description: Fail to provide hot and cold running water in food preparation area
  • Date of Conviction: September 28, 2018

Offences under the Regional By-Law, Respecting Mandatory Food Handler Certification

The following is a listing of food premises that were convicted of an offence under The Regional Municipality of Halton By-Law No. 163-11, a By-law Respecting Mandatory Food Handler Certification during the previous six months.

  • Name of Establishment: Cafe Zauq
  • Address of Establishment: 327 Bronte St S, Milton
  • Offence Description: Operator fail to ensure presence of at least one certified food handler at food premises
  • Date of Conviction: September 24, 2018
