Halton's Regional Official Plan Review (ROPR)

 
Halton Region launched a Review of its Regional Official Plan Review in 2015 to make sure the Region can adopt an updated plan in 2020.

The Regional Official Plan, by law, must be updated every ten years to:

  • reflect changes in our communities and the vision for the Region
  • ensure that the Official Plan conforms to current policy of the Government of Ontario

The current Regional Official Plan Review process started in 2015 to make sure the Region can adopt an updated Regional Official Plan in 2020. Regional Council endorsed a Directions Report (PDF file) in 2016 which identifies the policy themes under review.

The Regional Official Plan Review will focus on the following areas:
