Public Feedback & Staff Analysis

We are committed to capturing and sharing public feedback as we develop and refine Sustainable Halton. This section includes summaries of letters, emails and depositions from public meetings for:

From June 11 to October 24, 2008, we collected public feedback on the Five Growth Concepts developed for the Sustainable Halton plan.

We converted this data into PDF files with contact information removed from individual submissions to meet privacy legislation requirements.

The “Comments Received” section below shows all of the comments received from the Local Municipalities, public agencies, private companies and individuals. The “Staff Response” section shows Halton Region staff responses to this public feedback.

Comments Received on the Five Growth Concepts

Below is the staff analysis and response to comments received during Phase Two of Sustainable Halton between June 11, 2008 - March 20, 2009.

Any comments received after March 20, 2009 are included in the Phase Three results below.

From April 21 to May 29, 2009, we collected public feedback on the final, proposed growth management plan and land use concept as well as on the details of ROPA 37 - An Amendment to Incorporate the Basic Requirements of the Provincial Places to Grow Plan (PDF file).

We merged this data, along with any feedback received after March 20, 2009, into PDF files with contact information removed from individual submissions to meet privacy legislation requirements. This file is now available.

Halton Region planning staff analyzed the Phase Three public feedback and wrote responses to the comments received between March 20, 2009 and May 29, 2009.

We will respond to any comments received after May 29, 2009, but they may not get posted on the website.

From September through November 2009, we collected public feedback on ROPA 38 at two special statutory meetings and eight public open houses. The results of this work are shown in three reports:

All of these materials have been edited to preserve the privacy of each individual submitting comments and ideas.
