To keep Halton safe and healthy for everyone, we collaborate with agencies and leaders across the region through the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan. We track this important work through our Indicator Dashboard, available for you to explore real-time data and trends over time in Halton and Ontario.
2023 Highlights
As part of the Plan, we created a Halton Situation Table to provide direct support to individuals or groups. We deliver these services in collaboration with:
- the Halton Regional Police Service;
- the City of Burlington and Towns of Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville; and
- over 30 agencies in front-line, acute care and human services sectors.
I’m proud to share that in 2023 over 60 individuals were supported to lower risks related to mental health, basic needs, housing and other complex risk-factors through the Halton Situation Table. We are continuing this important work alongside our local partners and are working to improve our services to better serve our community.
By collaborating with community partners on safety and well-being, we help keep Halton a great place to live, work, raise a family and retire. For more information on the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, please visit halton.ca.
