Overview
Planning Services is undertaking a review of the 2014 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Guideline adopted under the Regional Official Plan. The EIA Guideline provides direction to proponents of development and site alteration when an EIA is needed and identifies procedures for completing an EIA in accordance with the Regional Official Plan.
An update to the EIA Guideline has been recommended to reflect best practices, streamline the process, assist in defining scoping and waiving opportunities and to improve its overall ease of use. As part of the update process, Regional staff will be holding a Public Information Centre (PIC) to present and discuss proposed changes to the 2014 EIA Guidelines.
