To kick off Paramedic Services Week, Halton Region is hosting its second annual Paramedic Day on Saturday, May 26, to give residents a behind-the-scenes look at the important work the Region’s paramedics provide our community every day. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. rain or shine at Woodlands Operations Centre, 1179 Bronte Road in Oakville.
“I am proud of all of our paramedics for the hard work they do 24/7 to provide emergency medical services to our residents,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. “Paramedic Day is a wonderful opportunity for all Halton residents to come out and see our Paramedic Headquarters, get an up close look at some of our equipment and meet the paramedics that help keep our community safe and healthy.”
There will be plenty of family activities including tours of emergency vehicles, tactical gear demonstrations, bike helmet safety display, hands-on CPR lessons, local food trucks and more.
