Halton Region is hosting a job fair on Wednesday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oakville Conference Centre (2515 Wyecroft Road, Oakville). Job seekers are invited to bring their resumés and meet with more than 90 local employers.
The Employment Halton job fair is one of several ways Halton Region supports growth in the local economy by connecting employers with talented and motivated professionals. Halton’s strong economic standing is reflected through low levels of unemployment and a high rate of job creation, with more than 7,200 new jobs created across the region in 2017.
Employers from diverse industries such as advanced manufacturing, information technology, healthcare, financial services and more choose to call Halton home. These businesses benefit from a deep talent pool of professionals, proximity to leading educational institutions, easy access to major markets and a high quality of life.
Employment Halton works to connect over 12,500 job seekers with opportunities at over 250 local employers through Regional programs. Employment Halton’s on-site staff offer workshops and one-on-one sessions to help job seekers create resumés, prepare for interviews and ultimately find meaningful work.
