What the oral health program does

Halton Region's Oral Health Program raises awareness and promotes good oral health practices by providing programs and services delivered to the community:

  • Conducts free dental screening to identify oral health concerns in children and helps families access dental care.
  • Collects and analyzes oral health data to monitor trends and plan health promotion interventions that: increase the number of Halton residents that engage in health-enhancing oral health behaviours; engage community partners to improve the oral health of Halton residents; and improve awareness of and knowledge about dental financial assistance programs.
