Is your child on track? The first six years are a critical time in your child's development. During these years, a child's brain develops how they:
- Listen and see
- Talk and move
- Express emotions
Healthy development is influenced by loving caregivers who respond to a child’s needs, provide opportunity for them to develop their skills and abilities (external link), and build self –esteem in their child.
Families are not alone in this; there are many community supports available to help caregivers promote the healthy development of their child.
