Public consultation takes place through Public Information Centres where comments and concerns are identified and discussed. These meetings are advertised in local newspapers and online at halton.ca.
Notice of Study Completion
30-day public and agency review is advertised in local newspapers and online at halton.ca as part of the Notice of Study Completion. All outstanding comments or concerns may be provided directly to the proponent in writing.
In addition, a request may be made to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks for an order requiring a higher level of study or further studies (referred to as a Section 16 Order). Requests may be considered based on potential adverse impacts of a project on existing aboriginal and treaty rights. Other requests will not be considered.
Please include the following information:
- the requester contact information and full name;
- what kind of order is being requested;
- how an order may prevent, mitigate or remedy those potential adverse impacts; and
- any information in support of the statements in the request.
